Let's celebrate the season together! Join us for four one-act plays and light snacks. We open with Sad Sack Santa, a cute story about a department store Santa who's had it with naughty kids and his wife who's not letting him off the hook. The Christmas Home Tour is a hilarious piece about 4 women acting out and how their tour driver puts her foot down- but not on the pedal! Mrs. Claus is loving the peace and quiet after Santa goes to work and the annoying elves scatter. Finally, Frank's 75th Christmas is a sweet Scrooge like story of a man who is unhappy about his new retirement village, their golf carts, his neighbors, lines at the post office, and spending his 75th Christmas in Florida. Christmas in Florida? Bah Humbug!! Estimated run time 75 minutes.
The producer of a small town radio station must deal with divas both male and female, a missing actress, a weatherman going off the rails, an overwrought fan girl, and other wacky happenings. Thank goodness they have their trusty SEP (Sound Effects Person) to keep things on track. Presented in agreement with Art Age Publications Senior Theatre Resource Center. See our blog for more pics!
An instrumental acoustic trio in Pittsburgh, PA. This band was a delight to work with and a bit hit with our audience and cast alike. See our blog for more pics!
Finally, we present a lovely piece written by local author Jeff DeSantis. 'Someone's in the Kitchen' is a 30 minute comedy/drama which explores love, loss, and how to really Really REALLY annoy each other!! A Stoops Ferry Productions favorite.
Our show started with the amusing 'Dumpster Divers', a short piece featuring a group of Bridge players, a janitor, and a grumpy senior citizen who struggle with an uncooperative dumpster. Presented in agreement with Art Age Publications Senior Theatre Resource Center.
Our middle piece was a short confection 'Coconut Creme Pie' which explores finding new possibilities in the most awkward and unlikely of circumstances. Presented in agreement with Art Age Publications Senior Theatre Resource Center.
Can a community theater and indie filmmaking group ever have enough volunteers? If you are interested in helping us out please email Veronica at info@stoopsferryproductions.com
